How Directory Listings Work

Learn how lender profiles are structured in the LoanOrigination.ca directory, what data each listing contains, and how lenders can claim or update their profile.

Every listing in the LoanOrigination.ca directory follows a consistent structure so borrowers and referral partners can compare lenders side by side. This page explains what appears in each profile, how listings are sourced, and how lenders can update their information.

Profile structure

Each lender profile contains the following sections:

Section	Details
Header	Lender name, logo where available, lender type, and primary service region
About	Short description of the lender’s mission, mandate, and history
Funding	Loan amount ranges, typical term lengths, and named programs
Eligibility	Who can apply, including geography, sector, stage, and demographic focus where applicable
Contact	Website, phone, email, and physical address
Additional resources	Links to application forms, program documentation, and partner organizations

How listings are sourced

Listings are compiled from publicly available sources, including national association directories and each lender’s own website. The directory reflects the Canadian community-lending ecosystem and is maintained as new organizations are identified or existing organizations update their programs.

Claim or update a listing

Lenders can request updates to their profile to keep funding limits, eligibility, and contact information accurate.

1. Find your listing

   Search the directory for your organization and open the profile.

2. Submit an update request

   Use the Request update link on the profile to send corrected information.

3. Confirm your identity

   A member of the LoanOrigination.ca team will verify that the request comes from an authorized representative of the lender.

4. Review the update

   You will receive a preview of the updated profile for confirmation before it is published.
