# Borrower Application Intake Portal

> Guide borrowers through digital loan applications with autosave, mobile access, document uploads, and real-time status tracking for Canadian community lenders.

LoanOrigination.ca replaces scattered email and PDF applications with a guided digital intake portal that borrowers can complete from any device. The portal walks applicants through structured forms tailored to each loan program, validates entries in real time, and lets them upload supporting documents directly into their file. Every application autosaves as the borrower progresses, so nothing is lost if they step away.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Choose a loan program">
    The borrower selects from the programs your organization has published. Each program loads its own form, required documents, and eligibility rules automatically.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Complete the guided form">
    Fields appear in logical sections with inline validation. Conditional questions reveal only when relevant, keeping the form short and relevant to the applicant's situation.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Upload supporting documents">
    Borrowers attach PDFs, images, or scans directly within the form. The system checks file types and sizes immediately, and flags missing documents before submission.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review and submit">
    A completeness check highlights any empty required fields or missing uploads. Once submitted, the borrower receives a confirmation and can track status in real time.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Officer review begins">
    The application lands in the assigned officer's queue with all documents attached. No manual data entry or file renaming is needed.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  The intake portal is bilingual and supports both English and French interfaces. Quebec borrowers see the appropriate variant based on your form builder configuration.
